Known for his expertise in lean methodologies and continuous improvement processes, Dan has consistently delivered outstanding results in both top and bottom-line performance. His career is marked by leadership in strategic planning, profit and loss management, and the development of high-performing teams. At SBE Medical, Dan leverages his extensive experience in sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality management to steer the company toward achieving its ambitious goals.
Prior to his role at SBE Medical, Dan held significant leadership positions where he implemented transformative changes that led to substantial cost savings and process improvements. His achievements include leading the implementation of new quality management systems, achieving ISO certifications, and driving sales growth in startup environments. Dan’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Grand Valley State University, along with a national bronze lean certification and a certification as an instructor with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Nicholas Borgdorff
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of SBE Medical.

With a distinguished career in leading operations and strategic functions, Nicholas has consistently driven business growth and optimized business processes, achieving substantial cost savings and enhancing profitability. Prior to joining SBE Medical, Nicholas held pivotal roles in various industries, where he implemented data-driven management strategies and operational improvements. His career achievements include leading companies to record profitability and optimizing business processes for efficiency. Nicholas' academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. His diverse background, combined with his military service in the United States Navy, underscores his commitment to excellence and leadership.
Evan Bauer
Evan Bauer is the Senior Design Engineer at SBE Medical, bringing over six years of experience in the design and development of cutting-edge medical devices. At SBE Medical, Evan collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure the successful launch of groundbreaking products that improve patient outcomes.
In his role, Evan leads the design and development process for medical devices, conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate design options. He is proficient in utilizing CAD software to create and modify complex 3D models and engineering drawings, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
Evan’s expertise extends to performing comprehensive design verification and validation activities, ensuring the reliability and safety of medical devices. He provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Mary Tibbe
Mary Tibbe MSN, RN, CCRN-E, AGCNS-BC is a manager, certified clinical nurse specialist and certified critical care nurse with a background in critical care, post anesthetic recovery, non icu care, and virtual care. She has experience with the specialties of cardiothoracic surgery, advanced heart failure, heart and lung transplant, general medical ICU, virtual ICU, virtual nursing, cardiac monitoring, and telesitting. She has lead and supported many major initiatives within a large healthcare system, of which includes CAUTI prevention both within and outside of the ICU. Mary has a large passion for problem solving and innovation which led her to the ideation of this device and a few other medical devices.
